King of Bass! Who will win?
Lets get on with it!
First off we have the monster SVS PB 2000 Pro
This is one fine sub, it pumps bass, and not just bass, quality bass! Its loud, it goes low and it irritates your neighbors!
Specs:
Breathtaking output and subterranean low frequency extension down to 16 Hz with pinpoint accuracy and control. Features all-new 12-inch SVS driver, 550 Watts RMS, 1,500+ Watts peak power Sledge amplifier with fully discreet MOSFET output, and SVS subwoofer DSP smartphone app. Optimized with dual port cabinet design for effortless bass with vanishingly low distortion.
Secondly we have the new Klipsch RP1200SW
Klipsch RP1200SW
WOW! These bad boys are phenomenal ! Look im not a Klipsch speaker fan, to me they sound like a PA / Disco speaker, but these subs are out of this world, especially at the price!
Specs:
BALANCED PERFORMANCE Compared to other premium subwoofers on the market, Reference Premiere subwoofers strike an optimal balance between amplifier power, driver capability and cabinet volume for maximum output, detail, and frequency extension.
GROUND-UP DRIVER DESIGNA redesigned driver aimed at delivering the ultimate low-frequency experience, the Cerametallic™ woofers are incredibly powerful and efficient, outperforming the competition.
HIGH-EFFICIENCY CLASS D AMPLIFIER The built-in, high-efficiency amplifier features an analog preamp design, which maintains the original signal path for cleaner, true-to-source reproduction. The Class D output stage ensures maximum output, detail and low frequency power.
MONSTER BASS ANYPLACE Featuring a front-firing driver, you can place your Reference Premiere subwoofer anywhere you want. The proprietary internal geometry with a new Aerofoil front slot port minimizes turbulence for crisp, tight bass.
SVS vs Klipsch Both these subs are outstanding, but at the price the Klipsch wins.
Its unfortunate that we are being grossly overcharged for SVS in South Africa, probably greed or bad management / bad business models or just plain incompetence and bad business skills from the owners. Who knows? All I do know is it is almost 4x more expensive here in SA making the Klipsch so much better when it comes to value for money.
Both subs are solid and precise, no doef doem boom boom, but solid and controlled.
In my Opinion Klipsch is the winner!
